Drainage sub-service

Tightline and Surface Drain Installation

Tightline and surface drains solve different parts of the same problem: collecting concentrated runoff and moving it away from foundations, hardscape and low areas before it can create repeated damage.

Two systems, one coordinated drainage plan

Combining surface drainage with subsurface drainage helps manage both rainwater runoff and excess groundwater, directing water away from problem areas to keep your property drier and better protected.

Two systems, one coordinated drainage plan

  • Tightline drains Solid underground pipe carries concentrated water from downspouts or collection points to a controlled outlet.
  • Surface drains Catch basins or grates collect water at ground level in low areas, patios, driveways and walkways.
  • Proper slope Pipe and surrounding grade must support gravity flow toward the selected discharge point.
  • Hidden infrastructure Most of the system remains below grade so the finished landscape can remain clean and usable.
How the service works

Plan the right solution before the work starts.

Proper storm drain placement, effective drainage piping, and correctly positioned inlets help collect and direct rainwater runoff away from buildings, driveways, and low-lying areas.

01

Tightline drain installation

After the drainage path and outlet are identified, a trench is excavated and solid non-perforated pipe is installed at the correct grade. The system can discharge to daylight, a pop-up emitter or another approved outlet.

02

Surface drain installation

Surface drainage begins by identifying where water pools. A basin or grate is set flush with the surrounding surface and connected to a solid drain line that carries water away from the problem area.

03

A system designed around the source

Roof runoff, hillside flow and ponding on flat surfaces behave differently. The strongest drainage plan identifies the source first, then matches the collection and conveyance method to it.

Service area: Tulsa and surrounding Oklahoma communities.
